Job summary

EnPower Inc. d/b/a CAMINUS, headquartered in Indianapolis, IN, seeks an HR Generalist to administer HR policies, programs, and procedures across recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, compliance, training, and HR operations.

You will be the first point of contact for HR questions, support recruitment & onboarding, assist with performance plans, ensure compliance with FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and local laws, and contribute to HR projects in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• Three+ years HR experience; manufacturing experience helpful.
• Knowledge of FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO and related laws; IN employment laws a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace issues.
• Administer recruitment activities: postings, screening, interviewing, background checks, onboarding coordination.
• Assist managers with performance management, development plans, goals, and performance reviews.
• Investigate employee relations concerns and recommend resolutions.
• Maintain employee files and HR records with confidentiality and privacy.
• Administer leave programs (FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' comp).
• Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Generate HR reports and analyze workforce data to support decision-making.
• Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and recognition activities.
• Assist with policy development and HR projects.

Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist supports the organization's human resources functions by administering policies, programs, and procedures related to recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, compliance, training, and HR operations. The HR Generalist serves as a resource for employees and management while helping ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and workplace issues.
• Administer recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, background checks, and coordinating the onboarding process.
• Assist managers with performance management, professional development plans, goal setting, and performance plans.
• Investigate employee relations concerns and recommend appropriate resolutions.
• Maintain employee personnel files and HR records in accordance with legal requirements, while maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
• Administer leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, workers' compensation, and other employee leave requests.
• Support benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communications.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
• Generate HR reports and analyze workforce data to support organizational decision-making.
• Coordinate employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and recognition activities.
• Assist with policy development and implementation.
• Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Three or more years of human resources experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment helpful.
• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and related compliance requirements. Knowledge of IN employment laws and regulations
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in handling employee matters.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
• Experience supporting multi-site operations.
