Job summary

American Metals Supply is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support recruiting, onboarding, payroll, benefits, and employee relations across locations.

You will partner with the HR Director to deliver HR services that align with our people-first approach and ESOP culture, helping to build a workplace our team is proud to be part of.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruiting from job posting through onboarding.
• Source candidates using job boards, referrals, and networking.
• Conduct phone screenings and in-person interviews.
• Prepare offers and manage candidate communications.
• Coordinate recruitment events including campus and community information events.
• Build talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
• Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding.
• Ensure a seamless first-day experience.
• Introduce new employees to company benefits, ESOP, and HR resources.
• Process weekly payroll, audit timecards & resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Maintain employee records within the HRIS.
• Manage personnel files, I-9s, and E-Verify.
• Process benefit enrollments and qualifying life events.
• Administer FMLA and leave documentation.
• Monitor leave tracking and required paperwork.
• Assist employees with benefit-related questions.
• Serve as a trusted resource for employees and managers.
• Answer day-to-day HR questions.
• Coordinate exit interviews and separation paperwork.
• Escalate complex employee relations matters to the HR Director.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Ensure accurate HR documentation and recordkeeping.
• Support HR audits and policy administration.

What You\'ll Do

Talent Acquisition
