Job summary

TEC Industrial Inc is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to support the day-to-day operations and lead high-volume recruitment for craft and industrial staff across the southeast region. The role requires coordinating new-employee orientations and administering HR plans and compliance with federal and state regulations.

The candidate should bring 5+ years of generalist HR experience, strong benefits administration knowledge, and proficiency with HRIS systems like Kronos/UKG.

Qualifications

• 5+ years progressive Human Resource Generalist experience, preferably in an industrial oriented business.
• Experience with benefits administration, ACA reporting, FMLA, employment law, and HR policy administration.
• Experience with Kronos/UKG or similar HRIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations of the organization.
• Recruit high-volume exempt and nonexempt personnel; coordinate new-employee orientations.
• Administer HR plans and procedures; assist in policy development and implementation.
• Maintain HR records and generate reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform benefits administration including claims resolution and audits.
• Act as liaison between employees and the company.

Human Resource Generalist

• Provides support for the day-to-day operations of the organization.
• Conducts high volume recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel; coordinate new-employee orientations.
• Experienced accessing a network of quality, professional crafts workers for both short- and long-term projects, with skills meeting a professional industrial services level.
• Administers all human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.
• Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.
• Experience developing and maintaining reporting, maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to regulations.
• Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, audits, and communicating benefit information to employees.
• Maintains and supports Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database (Kronos/UKG).
• Maintains and supports compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment, I-9 compliance to include E-Verify.
• Act as liaison between employees and company.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Summary:

This is a high volume and high activity HR/Recruiting position, that is responsible for the recruitment of craft employees to staff heavy industrial construction projects at various locations throughout the southeast region.

Additional Functions

• Strong self-motivation, a team player, and a quick learner.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point) and Adobe editor.
• Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask.
• Able to adapt to a fast-paced working environment.
• Has above average knowledge of the HR function and HR-related work process.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5 or more years progressive Human Resource Generalist experience, preferably in an industrial oriented business.
• Extensive capabilities in multiple database management, benefits administration, and Industrial Craft recruiting.
• Experience with, but not limited to, policy administration, ACA reporting, FMLA administration, Employee relations, Employment Law, and areas supporting compliant Human Resource administration.

Education and Experience:

• Demonstrated positive professionalism in working in an office environment desirable.
• A bachelor’s degree in human resources, Organizational Management, or Businessand 5+ years of Industrial Construction a plus but not required.
• Any similar combination of education and experience will be considered. HR Certification is a plus.

Requirements:

• Arrive at work on time, as scheduled, consistently, reliably, & complete each shift

• Understand and follow Instructions from the direct supervisor
