Boscov's Department Store, LLC is seeking an Experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our busy HR office and support store operations. This role offers an opportunity to independently manage HR activities in a retail environment, from recruitment and onboarding to benefits, payroll, and employee relations.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of HR Generalist experience, a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), and strong communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Manage HR Office functions.
• Implement company and HR policies.
• Recruit, interview, and hire applicants.
• Onboard new hires and complete paperwork.
• Maintain employee records per company and government rules.
• Plan and run orientation and trainings to boost retention.
• Manage benefits, compensation, and performance reviews.
• Handle timekeeping and payroll processes.
• Address employee relations with guidance from corporate.
• Assume senior staff duties.

We are looking for an HR Generalist who is comfortable and capable of working independently in our busy HR office to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the functions of the Human Resources Office
• Carry out policies related to phases of the Company and Human Resources
• Recruit, interview and select applicants to fill vacant positions
• Onboard new hires by completing all necessary paperwork and processes
• Maintain coworkers’ records in accordance with Company and government guidelines for reporting purposes
• Plan and conduct new coworker orientation and other types of training classes to foster positive attitudes and improve associate retention
• Responsible for promoting, initiating, and maintaining all facets of benefits, compensation, and performance appraisal review program
• Responsible for timekeeping and payroll procedures
• Handle all employee relations concerns with guidance from Corporate office
• Assume Senior Staff responsibilities

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree, preferred
• 2 to 4 years Human Resources Generalist experience preferred.
• Creative problem solving and confidentiality skills
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to learn HR computer systems and other store systems
• Available to work varied days and hours as work schedule requires, including evenings and weekends
