Open Health Care Clinic is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support our growing organization in Baton Rouge, LA. This role covers recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, policy administration, benefits support, compliance, and workforce development.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Human Resources experience or a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field in lieu of experience.
  • Valid Louisiana Driver's License is required.
  • Ability to pass an auto insurance carrier review.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Effective time management with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize responsibilities and elevate issues appropriately.
  • High degree of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to quickly learn and effectively utilize HRIS and talent management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding.
  • Develop partnerships with local colleges, universities, and community organizations to build talent pipelines.
  • Coordinate credentialing appointments and assist with credentialing processes when applicable.
  • Serve as a resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Respond to HR inquiries and elevate issues when appropriate.
  • Monitor and help manage HR ticketing systems.
  • Support employee engagement, productivity, and retention initiatives.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and interpretation regarding company policies.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in both electronic and paper formats.
  • Manage HRIS data and generate reports as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining organizational charts and workforce records.
  • Coordinate employee performance evaluation processes.
  • Support onboarding activities and ensure a positive employee experience during integration.
  • Support employee development and training initiatives.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with HR best practices.
  • Assist with workforce planning and organizational development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Recruitment
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer preparation, and onboarding.

Qualifications
Required

  • Ability to work at a computer workstation for extended periods.
