Job Summary:Supports the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department by administering HR programs, processes, and employee services. This position serves as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, employment practices, and employee lifecycle activities. The HR Generalist works closely with department leadership to ensure consistent, compliant, and efficient HR operations while providing exceptional customer service.This role supports employee relations, performance management processes, compliance activities, HR systems, training coordination, and other Human Resources initiatives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSGeneral Duties and ResponsibilitiesServe as a point of contact for employee and manager questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and HR processes.Respond to employee concerns and routine workplace issues in a professional and timely manner.Provide guidance on Human Resources matters consistent with established policies and practices.Maintain employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation in accordance with company requirements.Process employee lifecycle transactions including transfers, promotions, changes in status, and separations.Assist with unemployment claims, HR reporting, and documentation requests.Ensure accurate maintenance of information within the HRIS and related systems.Support recruiting activities and send offer letters to selected candidates.Gather information, document facts, and provide support during employee relations reviews and investigations.Assist management with documentation related to attendance, performance, and workplace conduct matters.Identify and escalate employee relations concerns that involve legal risk, termination decisions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, or other sensitive matters.Maintain detailed and accurate documentation related to employee concerns and workplace issues.Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Administer required HR notices, forms, and employment documentation.Support implementation and communication of policy updates and HR initiatives.Assist with the administration of performance review and goal-setting processes.Support employee engagement, recognition, and culture-building initiatives.Help track training completion and maintain training records.Assist with HR projects, process improvements, and departmental initiatives.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceThree or more years of progressively responsible Human Resources experienceExperience supporting employee relations, HR administration, and complianceKnowledge of Human Resources principles, practices, and employment lawsStrong interpersonal and customer service skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretionStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to identify issues requiring escalation and exercise sound judgmentPreferred QualificationsExperience with PaycomExperience in a multi-location organization
