Burnett Specialists Staffing | Recruiting seeks a hands-on Human Resources Director to lead HR operations for a growing industrial distribution and service organization in Texas. This role oversees day-to-day HR, employee relations, and compliance while partnering with operations on safety, OSHA and DOT matters.

The position requires 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including director-level duties, and a Bachelor's degree with strong employee relations and performance management skills.

• Support hourly and salaried employees across warehouse, machine shop, logistics, driver, and corporate functions.


• Coach managers on performance, attendance, disciplinary actions, employee relations, and workplace concerns.


• Lead semi-annual performance reviews and related documentation and development plans.


• Manage recruiting, onboarding, employee records, policies, handbook updates, and HR compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including HR Director-level responsibilities.


• Experience supporting hourly industrial employees is strongly preferred, particularly within manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, logistics, transportation, machine shop, construction, or industrial services.


• Experience supporting both hourly and corporate salaried employees.


• Strong employee relations and performance management experience.


• Bachelor's degree highly preferred.


• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or similar HR certification highly preferred.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively from the shop floor to the executive level.
