Job summary

TriVista Recruitment is seeking a hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead the HR function for a growing aerospace and defense manufacturing client. The role is based in Springboro, OH, on-site, reporting to the President & CEO, with a mandate to build scalable people infrastructure during a period of rapid growth.

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of progressive HR experience across recruiting, employee relations, performance management, and compensation, with manufacturing experience

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive HR experience with broad responsibilities in recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and HR operations.
• Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred; aerospace/defense or regulated environments are a plus.
• Hands-on HR leader who can partner with a CEO to build structure without bureaucracy.

• Develop and execute an HR strategy aligned with growth objectives.
• Own full-cycle recruiting across hourly manufacturing, technical, professional, and leadership roles.
• Build sustainable talent pipelines and recruiting partnerships.
• Establish job architecture, salary bands, market benchmarks, and compensation practices.
• Drive employee engagement, communication, recognition, and retention initiatives.
• Lead performance management, employee relations, development, and succession planning.
• Partner with senior leadership to improve clarity, accountability, and manager effectiveness.
• Build scalable HR processes, policies, metrics, and infrastructure to support growth.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring 7+ years of progressive HR experience with broad responsibility across recruiting, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and HR operations. Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred, and experience within aerospace, defense, government contracting, or another regulated environment would be beneficial.

Most importantly, this individual needs to be a credible, hands-on HR business partner who can work effectively with executives, managers, and shop-floor employees while helping build the HR function for the company's next stage of growth.
