Job description

The Human Resources Director provides quality assistance, professional expertise and service to directors, supervisors, employees, and job applicants. The ideal candidate is someone who will provide forward-thinking, collaborative leadership for all human resources functions in partnership with the Management team.

The Human Resources Director will achieve effective employee placement and development, compensation, and enhance the quality of work life for City employees, assuring a safe work environment and retention of the City’s work force. This position performs a variety of complex professional and administrative work including policy development, classification, training, safety, and employee recognition functions while ensuring consistent and fair treatment of applicants and employees of the City.
