Director of Human Resources – Healthcare | $130K – $160K | Remote with Travel as Needed

A respected multi-site healthcare provider, in business for over 30 years, is seeking a Director of Human Resources to lead and elevate HR operations across a network of more than 30 locations and 300+ employees. This is a confidential search for a key leadership position offering both strategic influence and hands-on impact.

Position Overview:

The Director of HR will report to senior leadership and collaborate across all departments to drive HR strategies that align with business objectives and support a strong, scalable foundation for growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational goals
  • Advise leadership on workforce planning, talent development, and employee engagement
  • Build and sustain a high-performing, inclusive workplace culture
  • Lead and mentor HR team members

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Oversee payroll and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage HRIS systems and employee data integrity
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and internal policies (e.g., FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, EEO)
  • Lead audits, reporting, and annual compliance tasks (W-2s, EEO-1, OSHA, ACA, etc.)

  • Evaluate and manage benefit offerings including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, HSA, and 401(k)
  • Lead open enrollment, employee education sessions, and vendor relationships
  • Monitor plan utilization and ensure competitive compensation practices

Talent Management

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, and succession planning
  • Partner with managers on hiring, performance management, and employee relations
  • Conduct exit interviews and identify opportunities to improve retention and culture

HR Metrics & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation
  • Analyze and report on key HR metrics such as turnover, engagement, and headcount
  • Use data to inform decision-making and present insights to leadership

Ideal Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
  • HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR/SPHR)
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR operations, and modern HR technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • Proven ability to build trust and lead with empathy, discretion, and professionalism

Location & Flexibility:

  • This is a remote role with occasional travel required for team meetings or site visits.
  • Competitive salary in the $150K range, based on experience
