Director of Human Resources – Acute Care Hospital

Prior Union/Labor Relations Experience Required

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead HR operations for a 214-bed acute care hospital in the south Chicago suburbs.

This is a highly visible leadership position working closely with the CEO and hospital executive team. The HR Director will oversee employee and labor relations, workforce strategy, HR compliance, engagement, retention and the overall HR function.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous HR leadership experience within an acute care hospital or healthcare environment
• Strong union and labor relations experience required
• Extensive employee relations experience, including investigations, grievances and disciplinary matters
• Ability to effectively partner with hospital executives and department leaders
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and wage/hour regulations
• Experience supporting regulatory and accreditation readiness
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of related healthcare HR experience
