Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an HR-related field required.
• 5–8 years of HR management experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Healthcare environment experience and knowledge of OSHA/EEO compliance.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute strategic HR plans aligned to goals, including talent management, succession planning and organizational design.
• Own employee relations, conflict management and employee engagement initiatives.
• Manage recruitment end-to-end with compliance to employment laws and EEO standards.
• Lead performance management and support professional development efforts.
• Administer benefits, payroll, workers’ compensation and FMLA with regulatory compliance.
• Supervise HR teams supporting HRIS/HR systems (Workday, ICIMS) for data collection and analysis.
• Ensure OSHA standards and HR legal compliance with staff training and updated policies.
• Drive HR process improvements using analytics to support decision-making.

River Park Hospital is hiring a Human Resources Director onsite in Huntington, WV to lead HR strategy, compliance, and people-focused programs.

Responsibilities

• Build and execute strategic HR plans aligned to organizational goals, including talent management, succession planning, and organizational design.
• Own employee relations, promoting a constructive work environment through conflict management and employee engagement initiatives.
• Manage recruitment end-to-end, from sourcing to interviewing and onboarding, while ensuring compliance with employment laws and EEO standards.
• Lead performance management by establishing evaluation criteria, supporting employee evaluations, and contributing to professional development efforts.
• Administer benefits, including payroll, workers’ compensation, FMLA leave management, and benefits administration, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Supervise HR teams supporting HRIS and HR systems (including Workday and ICIMS or similar platforms) for data collection and analysis.
• Ensure OSHA standards and HR legal compliance by keeping policies current and providing staff training.
• Drive HR process improvements using analytics and data analysis to support decision-making.
• Respond to insurance and unemployment compensation correspondence and handle employment verifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5-8 years of related work experience.
• Experience in human resources management with supervisory responsibility in healthcare or a similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, HR legal compliance, and regulations including OSHA and EEO.
• Proven expertise in talent acquisition, training and development, employee orientation, and performance management strategies.
• Proficiency with HR systems such as Workday; familiarity with HRIS data analysis tools is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve and handle conflict resolution.
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion while balancing multiple priorities.
• Strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and experience leading change management in complex healthcare settings.
