The Human Resources Coordinator supports a designated portfolio of departments or divisions, providing strategic and operational guidance in talent management, employee relations, organizational effectiveness, and change management within a complex higher education environment. Working under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources, this role delivers a broad range of HR services, including recruitment, benefits administration, payroll coordination, and general HR operations, while ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and compliance requirements.

Associate’s degree in human resources, business management, public administration or related field and three (3) years of progressive human resources experience.
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business management, public administration, or related field and five (5) years of progressive human resources experience and three (3) of the five years must include demonstrated working experience with Texas public retirement systems, including Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ), Optional Retirement Program ( ORP ), Employee Retirement System ( ERS ) and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board ( THECB ) regulations, as well as voluntary retirement plans.
Three (3) years of experience of demonstrated working experience with Texas public retirement systems, including Teacher Retirement System of Texas ( TRS ), Optional Retirement Program ( ORP ), Employee Retirement System ( ERS ) and Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board ( THECB ) regulations, as well as voluntary retirement plans.
Advanced technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and data accuracy.
Human Resources certifications ( PHR or SHRM ) are preferred.
No or very limited physical effort required.
No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Minimum Salary Range $55,673
Mid Point Salary Range .
Maximum Salary Range $75,160
