Job summary

Tracewell Systems in Ohio seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to support the full employee lifecycle and ensure efficient HR operations. You will partner with hiring managers on recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement while handling confidential information with professionalism.

The role requires an Associate’s degree in HR or related field, 2 years HR experience preferred, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and ADP HRIS.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2 years of HR experience preferred; recruiting experience a plus.
  • Working understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with professionalism.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP experience preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding qualified job applicants through partnership with hiring managers and departments.
  • Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees related to policies, benefits, and hiring processes; refer complex questions to senior HR leadership.
  • Support HR programs including compensation, benefits, employee relations, performance management, talent management, recognition, engagement, and training.
  • Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations by recommending best practices and supporting policy reviews.
  • Assist in employee recognition programs and special events such as benefits open enrollment, company-wide meetings, and celebrations.
  • Perform administrative tasks for the HR department and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
  • Support planning and execution of HR-related events including retirements, holiday parties, and employee appreciation activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Purpose of the Role

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities
