Job summary

Socket.dev seeks an HR Coordinator to support onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, records and HRIS maintenance. This hybrid role is based in El Paso, TX, with duties across operations and employee support.

You will assist payroll processing, respond to employee questions, administer benefits, help with onboarding, maintain records, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute process improvements within a collaborative HR team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; degree in Human Resources preferred.
  • 2+ years related HR experience.
  • Payroll experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in HR software and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support payroll processing, including data entry, report generation, and time sheet adjustments; backup for Payroll Manager.
  • Answer employee questions, address concerns, and provide HR support.
  • Provide information to employees about benefits and pay questions.
  • Assist with onboarding process; ensure documents are processed in HRIS.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide general administrative support to HR, such as scheduling and reporting.
  • Manage temp requests with staffing agencies; handle timecards, invoices, and cancellations.
  • Discuss process improvements and potential solutions.

Description

The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the HR department's operations by assisting with various HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, and record-keeping. The HR Coordinator acts as a resource for employees, providing information and support related to HR policies, procedures, and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide support for payroll processing, including data entry, report generation, time sheet adjustments, and act as a backup for Payroll Manager
  • Answer employee questions, address concerns, and provide general HR support
  • Provide information to employees about benefits and pay questions
  • Assist with the onboarding process;
  • ensure all necessary documents are processed and entered in the HRIS system
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations
  • Assist employees with the completion of forms, including but not limited to, STD/LTD forms
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files and HRIS data.
  • Ensure HR practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the HR department, such as scheduling meetings, managing files, and preparing reports
  • Manage temp requests including liaising with staffing agencies, handling timecards, invoices, requests, and cancellations
  • Proactively discuss process improvements ideas and solutions
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
  • Highschool diploma required, prefer diploma or degree in Human Resources
  • 2+ years related experience
  • Payroll experience preferred
  • Proficiency in HR software and systems
  • Knowledge of HR policies and procedures
  • MS Office (excel, word, Outlook and PowerPoint)
