Job summary

Air Treatment Corporation seeks a Human Resources Coordinator to support HR operations, coordinate initiatives, manage employee records, assist with recruitment, and foster a positive, inclusive work environment.

You will help with onboarding, records maintenance, benefits processing, payroll coordination, and employee relations under the guidance of the HR team. SHRM-CP/PHR preferred; five years of HR experience recommended.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources or a related administrative HR role.
  • Experience with HRIS and employee data management.
  • Working knowledge of benefits administration, onboarding, payroll processes, and employment documentation.
  • SHRM-CP and/or PHR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates and hiring managers, tracking candidate status in the HRIS, and preparing recruiting correspondence.
  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding, including preparing employee files, conducting or assisting with orientation, completing Form I-9 and verification of documentation, submitting background checks, and ensuring required employment documentation is completed.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in HRIS both electronic and physical personnel files. Process employment changes, including transfers, job classifications, salary changes, promotions, and terminations.
  • Administer employee benefits by processing new-hire enrollments, qualifying life-event changes, and terminations.
  • Respond to employee questions and requests regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, leave, and other employment-related matters, escalating issues to the appropriate HR team member as needed.
  • Assist with payroll-related processes by preparing and reviewing employee information, changes, deductions, and other required documentation in coordination with the Payroll department.
  • Assist with employee relations matters, performance management, and the performance review process in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Assist with the administration of workers’ compensation claims, including coordinating injury reporting, obtaining and maintaining required documentation, communicating with employees, managers, medical providers, and insurance representatives, and tracking claims through resolution.
  • Support the return-to-work and accommodation process by coordinating work restrictions, medical documentation, and communication with employees and management in collaboration with the HR team.
  • Support the development, implementation, and administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs, including assisting with compliance audits and maintaining current knowledge of applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate employee training and professional development activities, including scheduling, communications, materials, and recordkeeping.
  • Assist with planning and coordinating employee engagement activities, benefitsenrollment events, leadership development programs, and other company initiatives.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute HR correspondence, reports, metrics, presentations, forms, and other documents as requested.
  • Perform general HR administrative duties, including filing, scanning, copying, mailing, preparing correspondence, and maintaining organized and confidential records.
  • Provide general project and administrative support to the HR team and perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Education and Experience
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • This position is primarily an office-based role requiring the employee to work at a desk and computer for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods, with the ability to periodically stand, walk, and change positions as needed.
  • Must be able to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment on a regular basis.
