Job Title: Part-Time HR Consultant (Remote – US Based)

Location: Remote (United States)

Industry Preference: Pharmaceutical (Human or Animal), Biotech (Medical, Agricultural, Aquaculture, or Food)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Part-Time HR Consultant to support our growing organization in delivering strategic and operational HR guidance. This role is ideal for a proactive, bilingual (English/Spanish) HR professional with a background in corporate HR or HR consulting within the pharmaceutical or biotech industries.

The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, talent strategy, and organizational design, and will thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment. The position is fully remote, based in the United States, and offers flexible working hours spread over approximately 2–3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR Consulting

  1. Advise leadership on HR strategy, policies, and procedures to support business objectives.
  2. Provide guidance on organizational design, workforce planning, and change management.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align HR initiatives with company goals.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  1. Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
  2. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws.
  3. Support in the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.

Talent Management

  1. Assist in designing talent acquisition strategies, onboarding, and employee development programs.
  2. Provide coaching and support to managers on performance reviews, feedback, and employee engagement.
  3. Recommend approaches for succession planning and leadership development.

HR Operations

  1. Support day-to-day HR processes such as documentation, reporting, and recordkeeping.
  2. Partner with internal teams to improve systems, workflows, and HR operational efficiency.

Culture & Diversity

  1. Promote a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
  2. Design and implement initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention.
  3. Provide HR communications and support in both English and Spanish, as needed.
  4. Assist with culturally relevant employee engagement and communication strategies for a bilingual workforce.

Required Skills & Experience:

  1. Minimum 7+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably within corporate HR or HR consulting roles.
  2. Industry experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences strongly preferred.
  3. Proven ability to work independently in a remote, part-time capacity.
  4. Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written) – desirable.
  6. Strong knowledge of US employment laws and HR compliance.
  7. Experience supporting both strategic HR initiatives and day-to-day operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (Master’s or certification such as SHRM-SCP or PHR is a plus).
  2. Experience supporting small to mid-sized growing companies or start-ups.
  3. Familiarity with remote work environments and international teams is advantageous.

Compensation & Engagement:

  1. Competitive hourly or project-based rate (commensurate with experience).
  2. Approx. 2–3 days per week (flexible scheduling).
  3. Long-term potential for extended consulting engagement.
