Qualifications

  • Two years of professional-level HR experience in one or more HR functional areas such as recruitment, payroll, employee relations, or HRIS.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, HR Management, Public or Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certification such as SHRM, HRCI, or IPMA-HR is valued and may substitute for some education requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with supervisors and managers to assess HR needs and provide guidance on performance, discipline, and leaves.
  • Conducts workplace investigations using data analysis and HRIS reports to support findings with legal counsel as appropriate.
  • Develops and implements recruitment and talent acquisition strategies across departments.
  • Assists with compensation analysis, wage offers, and market reviews in collaboration with County leadership.
  • Provides training and guidance on HR policies, ADA, FMLA, and other employment laws.
