Talent With Heart in Oakmont, PA is seeking an on-site HR Business Partner for a ~80‑employee plant in the Pittsburgh region. The role partners with plant management, working with hourly and salaried staff to drive HR initiatives and labor relations.

The position is a stepping stone with long-term growth to HR oversight across multiple sites. On-site availability, strong employment law knowledge, and ability to engage across levels are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR or related field.
• 5+ years HR experience in manufacturing or warehousing.
• Union environment experience preferred; strong candidates without it will be considered.
• Able to handle sensitive employee matters independently and escalate when needed.
• Builds trust with staff from floor to front office.
• HRIS experience a plus, especially implementation support.

Overview

A multi-site consumer goods manufacturer needs an on-site HR lead for one of its smaller plants in the Pittsburgh region. The parent organization runs several facilities across the country, and this person would be the go-to HR resource at this location, partnering with plant management and spending real time with hourly and salaried staff.

The company sees this as a stepping stone. The long‑term plan is for this role to grow into HR oversight across more than one site.

What the Job Involves

• Act as the single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees


• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, performance conversations, and conflict


• Work alongside corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations


• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention


• Keep the site in line with employment law and company policy


• Stay visible on the production floor so employees know who to come to

What They Need
