Job summary

RRC Solutions Group in Oakmont, PA is seeking an on-site HR Business Partner to lead HR for a plant of about 80 employees. You will partner with plant management and stay close to hourly and salaried staff to guide employee relations and compliance.

This role offers a stepping stone toward HR oversight across multiple sites as the organization grows, with responsibilities in recruiting, onboarding, and labor relations in a union environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years in HR within manufacturing or warehousing.
• Union environment experience preferred; candidates without it but able to learn will be considered.
• Handle sensitive employee matters independently with good judgment.
• Builds trust across floor to office and supports HRIS rollout.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees.
• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues and performance conversations.
• Work with corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations.
• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention.
• Maintain employment-law compliance and policy adherence.
• Stay visible on the production floor for accessibility.
• Assist in rolling out HR systems and process improvements.
• Report site trends and concerns to HR leadership.

Overview

A multi-site consumer goods manufacturer needs an on-site HR lead for one of its smaller plants in the Pittsburgh region. The parent organization runs several facilities across the country, and this person would be the go-to HR resource at this location, partnering with plant management and spending real time with hourly and salaried staff.

The company sees this as a stepping stone. The long‑term plan is for this role to grow into HR oversight across more than one site.

What the Job Involves

• Act as the single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees


• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, performance conversations, and conflict


• Work alongside corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations


• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention


• Keep the site in line with employment law and company policy


• Stay visible on the production floor so employees know who to come to


• Help roll out HR systems and process improvements


• Report site trends and concerns up to HR leadership

What They Need
