Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Newark, NJ, is seeking an HR leader to support multiple departments and locations, ensuring legal and policy compliance while shaping talent programs.

You will partner with management on workforce design, succession planning, and compensation programs, and lead leadership development, coaching, and retention efforts to advance business goals.

This role offers a competitive salary in the six-figure range with bonus eligibility and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of generalist/HR leadership experience.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• PHR or SPHR Certification (Preferred).
• Labor Relations experience (Preferred).

What You'll Do:

• Support union, non-union, management and staff in the specified departments and field locations and ensure HR compliance from both a legal and company policy perspective
• Work with management to define talent management needs to design and implement HR programs and practices e.g., organizational design, workforce development/planning, talent review, succession planning, talent acquisition, compensation management, etc. that align with and support location needs and Company goals
• Facilitate leadership development and key talent retention efforts e.g., performance management, coaching/counselling/corrective actions, employee recognition and rewards, talent review, etc.

What We're Looking For:

The annual starting salary range for this position is $115,000+ . Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for bonus + Company Vehicle (Gas, Insurance, Maintenance Included)
