Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Newark, NJ is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to serve as an internal partner, delivering HR programs and solutions for assigned field operations (~450 employees). You will join the HR leadership team to provide strategic and tactical HR support across locations.

Responsibilities include supporting union and non-union staff, shaping talent management programs, and driving leadership development and retention initiatives to meet company goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of generalist/ HR leadership experience.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• PHR or SPHR Certification preferred.
• Labor relations experience preferred.

Human Resources Business Partner will serve as an internal business partner, delivering comprehensive HR programs, initiatives, and solutions to the functional areas. In this role, you will be a key member of the HR leadership team and provide strategic and tactical human resources support for your assigned field operations location (~450 employees).

What You’ll Do:

• Support union, non-union, management and staff in the specified departments and field locations and ensure HR compliance from both a legal and company policy perspective

• Work with management to define talent management needs to design and implement HR programs and practices e.g., organizational design, workforce development/planning, talent review, succession planning, talent acquisition, compensation management, etc. that align with and support location needs and Company goals

• Facilitate leadership development and key talent retention efforts e.g., performance management, coaching/counselling/corrective actions, employee recognition and rewards, talent review, etc.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of generalist/ HR leadership experience

• Bachelor's Degree

• PHR or SPHR Certification (Preferred)

The annual starting salary range for this position is $115,000+ . Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for bonus + Company Vehicle (Gas, Insurance, Maintenance Included)
