Job summary

Community Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, seeks an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to build strong relationships, coach leaders, and foster a compliant, employee-focused culture. You will work closely with executives to shape the employee experience and lead succession planning, policy interpretation, and HR analytics.

The role emphasizes leadership coaching, employee relations, and strategic HR initiatives to support over 1,400 staff across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in: Employee relations, Workplace investigations, Leadership coaching, Performance management, Employment law and HR compliance, Employee engagement and retention.

As a strategic partner to leaders across the organization, you\'ll play a key role in shaping the employee experience by providing expert guidance on:

  • Regulatory compliance and HR audits

You'll serve as a trusted advisor, helping leaders navigate challenging situations while fostering a positive, respectful, and compliant workplace culture.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
  • Five (5) or more years of progressive Human Resources experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
  • Employee relations
  • Workplace investigations
  • Leadership coaching
  • Performance management
  • Employment law and HR compliance
  • Employee engagement and retention
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification required on hire or ability to obtain within six months of hire
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building skills
