The Company:

Our client is a leading clinical research organization with over 30 research sites across 9 different states! They are dedicated to advancing medical science through innovative research and diverse patient-centric approaches. They are seeking a highly skilled HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join their team and support their growing workforce within California and beyond.

The Role:

You will play a pivotal role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives while ensuring compliance with California labor laws and regulations. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, fostering a positive work environment that promotes engagement, performance, and compliance.

• Act as a strategic partner to clinical research sites, providing HR guidance on workforce planning and employee relations.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable California employment laws, including wage and hour regulations, leave laws, and workplace safety.
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues while ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
• Oversee HR compliance efforts, including policy development, internal investigations, and audits.
• Support performance management initiatives, including coaching leaders on best practices for feedback and career development.
• Assist with benefits administration and leave management, ensuring adherence to California Family Rights Act (CFRA), Paid Family Leave (PFL), and other state-mandated programs.

Qualifications:

• Currently live in Arizona or California
• 8+ years of HR experience in a clinical research, healthcare, or biotech environment
• Strong expertise in California employment law, compliance, and employee relation
• Experience advising leadership teams and handling sensitive employee relations matters with discretion.
• Willingness to be an individual contributor without direct reports
