Position Summary

We are seeking a Human Resources professional eager to develop their career within a dynamic, high-performing HR team. This role offers exposure to diverse experiences and requires proactive partnership with the business, emphasizing strong organizational, communication, and execution skills. You will manage various high-touch HR activities for the Philadelphia business unit, balancing tactical and strategic responsibilities while aligning with company-wide initiatives. Additionally, you will be part of our HR Operations team, focused on designing and implementing HR programs that enhance employee and manager experiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of impactful organizational contributions in a mid-sized, matrix environment.

Location Requirement

This is not a remote position. The candidate must be located locally to work out of our Carrollton, TX office when not traveling to other locations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Guide workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee relations, engagement, development, and compensation management.
  2. Develop partnerships with division management and foster relationships at all levels.
  3. Advise managers on complex employee performance issues, including investigations and performance counseling.
  4. Support workforce planning and collaborate with Talent Acquisition to fill positions effectively and timely.
  5. Assist with annual performance reviews and partner with Compensation to facilitate related processes.
  6. Coordinate with HR functions (TA, Talent Management, Total Rewards, L&D) to implement programs aligned with employee and business needs.
  7. Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide HR programs to maximize effectiveness.
Success Factors
  1. Strong relationship-building skills and ability to influence across organizational levels, including remote teams.
  2. Ability to switch between tactical and strategic initiatives swiftly.
  3. Deep knowledge of employment law, workforce planning, organizational design, and employee relations.
  4. Problem-solving skills with the ability to develop creative solutions and advise management.
  5. Excellent organizational skills, ability to meet deadlines, manage priorities, and work independently.
  6. Willingness to travel approximately 15-20% for site visits and meetings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field. If in another field, HR certifications (PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) are required.
  • At least 8 years of progressive HR experience in a mid-sized company.
  • Experience managing both professional and union employees, with remote location management preferred.
  • Construction, Engineering, or similar industry experience is a plus.
