About the Position:

The United States Military Entrance Processing Command (USMEPCOM) is a joint Department of Defense command responsible for processing applicants into 5 branches of military Service (Army,Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard). Incumbent of this position provides administrative support to the Reception-Administration Control Desk (RACD), Record Maintenance and Accountability, and Enlistment processing to include fingerprinting of applicants.

Experience: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, such as: Utilizing office automation software to update account information; Obtaining data from applicants for completion of personnel records; Maintaining applicant records in accordance with an established filing system; Utilizing appropriate formatting to create written correspondence and/or documents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. -OR- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Candidates may be advanced without time restriction to positions up to GS-05 if the position to be filled is no more than two grades above the lowest grade the employee held within the preceding 52 weeks under his or her latest non-temporary competitive appointment.
