Job description

Title: Human Resources Assistant
Location: Westminster, MD
Salary/Benefits: 50-60K / Paid Holidays / Paid Vacation / Matching 401k
Summary:

The HR Assistant will perform administrative tasks to support the efficiency of the Human Resources Department.

Responsibilities:
  1. Handle the daily administrative and HR duties of an organization.
  2. Assist with recruitment, record maintenance, and payroll processing.
  3. Conduct new hire orientation.
  4. Provide support for all employees.
  5. Document staff changes, performance reports, and communications.
  6. Process payroll updates and manage communications for the HR department.
  7. Assist with a wide range of HR administrative tasks.
  8. Maintain the confidentiality of employee information using relevant HRIS or HR software.
  9. Answer frequently asked questions from employees related to policies, benefits, and hiring processes.
  10. Assist in organizing employee events.
  11. Maintain positive relationships with employees and outside vendors.
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience as an HR Coordinator or Administrative Assistant (essential).
  • Associate Degree, SHRM certification, or relevant experience in human resources (preferred).
  • Knowledge of HR functions and best practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
