Clayton Services is searching for an HR Assistant to join a thriving company in Spring, Texas. The HR Assistant will support the HR department's operations by performing various administrative tasks and assisting with payroll processes.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $20.00/hour

Benefits: Excellent benefits are available after the temporary period is successfully completed, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life, PTO, retirement, and more.

  • Answer and direct incoming calls and emails
  • Schedule meetings, interviews, and more for the HR and management staff
  • Maintain files
  • Prepare employment contracts, new hire paperwork, and meeting notes
  • Greet and assist visitors
  • Assist with the onboarding and orientation of new hires
  • Maintain employee records
  • Organize employee engagement and training events
  • Assist with recruiting by posting jobs, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews
  • Assist with collecting and verifying timesheets
  • Enter payroll information into the payroll system
  • Ensure timely processing of payroll
  • Respond to employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and PTO
  • Other duties as assigned

HR Assistant Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency

HR Assistant Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required; An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of administrative or HR experience is required
  • Previous experience working with HRIS/payroll systems is a plus
