Department of the Air Force Headquarters seeks a Civilian Personnel Support Specialist to assist the CPO in administering civilian HR programs across DCIPS, including HQ ACC and other commands. This TERM appointment runs through 31 December 2028 and may be extended or made permanent without further competition.
The role requires knowledge of civilian personnel policies, data reporting, and strong communication with diverse stakeholders.
The primary purpose of this position is: To assist the Civilian Personnel Officer (CPO) in administering all aspects of civilian human resources programs for HQ ACC Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System, Acquisition Demonstration and Cyber Excepted Service positions Command wide to include other Commands' DCIPS positions, assigned GS positions and Air Reserve Technician positions.
This is a TERM position NOT TO EXCEED 31 December 2028. (Term Appointments must exceed 12 months to meet the definition of TERM). In accordance with DODI 1400.25 Vol 2005, dtd 3/3/12, the individual selected for this position may be extended or made permanent without further competition. This is a GG-07 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-07 duties for the 'Technician/Administrative Support' work category are at the 'Entry Development' work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-07 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of civilian personnel policies, procedures, rules, guidelines, publications, etc. to understand respective programs and services provided. Knowledge of the automated systems, personal computers, and software employed in order to make reports, correspondence, and extract data from these systems. Must possess ability to analyze/date products to determine adequacy of programs and/or deficiencies. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private Sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
OR EDUCATION: Successfully completed one year of graduate level education in a field directly related which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Human Resource Administration. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.
OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of transcripts.
