Reports To: Chief Operating Officer
The Human Resources Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department, ensuring efficient operation of HR processes and exceptional customer service to staff and external partners. This position assists with recruitment, onboarding, personnel records management, and general HR compliance related tasks.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Serve as a point of contact for HR inquiries, providing timely and accurate information to employees and applicants.
Support recruitment and hiring processes, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and preparing new hire materials.
Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR databases, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
Assist with onboarding for new employees.
Prepare HR correspondence, reports, and forms as needed.
Assist with maintaining compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
Support employee engagement initiatives and HR projects as assigned.
Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including filing, scanning, and data entry.
Criminal Records Check: Must comply with Ohio Revised Code 3319.39 – Criminal Records Check.
Drug Testing: Must pass a drug screen at time of hire and comply with the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988.
The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use hands to operate a computer and other standard office equipment. The employee must be able to communicate effectively in person, by telephone, and electronically. Occasional walking, bending, or reaching may be required to retrieve files, attend meetings, or conduct presentations. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (such as files, office supplies, or equipment). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
