We are seeking a Human Resources Assistant for our Madison, WI office. This an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or individual looking to start their career in the Human Resources field. The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for providing general support to all locations for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, employee training and development. This position is also responsible for being the primary contact for general human resources questions, updating staff personal information and being a resource for staff.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruiting – assist in the recruiting process for all entry level positions, including but not limited to attending college/university career fairs, posting job ads, reviewing resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews with appropriate managers and extending offers.
- Onboarding – assist in the onboarding process for all new hires, including but not limited to sending out new hire welcome packages, scheduling breakfast meet and eats, preparing name badges for office/cubes, entering new staff in the payroll/HR system, complete digital paperwork, work with managers to schedule onboarding, and conduct HR onboarding.
- Off boarding – assist in the offboarding process for staff by conducting exit interviews, preparing exit paperwork and terminating status in payroll/HR system.
- Benefits – assist with new hire benefit process to ensure staff are enrolled in correct benefits, reconciling benefit billing statements each month.
- Assist with service recognition program, including drafting letters and ensuring staff receive appropriate rewards.
- Create and develop content for the monthly HR Newsletter.
- Training - track training for staff; enter training in payroll/HR system, ensure staff renew licenses by expiration dates. Assist with internal training programs such as annual Brown Bag schedule, assist with PowerPoint presentation formatting for presenters, and recording training. Develop Vierbicher Professional Development Library.
- Assist in bi-annual review process by following up with managers on reviews, ensuring they are signed and returned by deadline; provide guidance to the managers on career development for staff as part of the review process.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Management or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 2 year in human resources management experience preferred.
