Job summary

Seneca Foods in Glencoe, MN is seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant to join our team. Starting wage range $23.00–$27.00 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401K, disability, and PTO.

Responsibilities include workers' compensation, leave administration, recruiting support, onboarding, and HR record-keeping. Experience with workers' compensation and leave administration preferred; two-year degree or equivalent experience

Qualifications

• Two-year college degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience with workers' compensation, leave administration, and medical coordination preferred.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with community outreach or HR support function preferred.

• Support seasonal and full-time staffing: recruiting support, onboarding, orientations, and training coordination.
• Maintain HR records, filing and reporting, including AAP tracking.
• Support employee programs and wellness initiatives; assist HR team as needed.
• Provide backup support to the HR Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Worker's Compensation program, including filing First Reports of Injury, setting up and attending medical appointments, tracking work restrictions and accommodations, and serving as the primary contact for the third-party claim's administrator.
• Assist with incident investigations, follow-up documentation and maintain safety reporting requirements.
• Assist with leave administration processes, including tracking restrictions and coordinating return-to-work documentation.
• Provide support for seasonal and full-time staffing efforts, including recruiting support, data entry, onboarding, orientations, and training coordination.
• Maintain HR records and assist with filing and reporting, including AAP tracking.
• Support employee programs and facility initiatives including employee engagement activities and wellness programs.
• Provide backup support to the Human Resources Manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
