Job Title: Human Resources Assistant

Department: Human Resources

Salary Range: $45,792 Entry

Reports to: Human Resources Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Human Resources Assistant (HRA) assists the Human Resources Team (Manager, Generalist, HRIS Specialist, Talent Acquisition Specialist and Corporate Trainer) with the day-to-day tasks of the human resources department and supports a wide range of HR activities including general administrative duties, recruiting, database management, payroll/ benefits, backup for employee badging, training, and promoting a positive work environment. Also, the HRA is responsible for the Wellness Program and employee uniforms. The HRA must demonstrate an elevated level of integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, handling sensitive information with tact, discretion, and judgment. A high degree of responsiveness and independent judgment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Vitality Wellness Program and activities designed to improve employee’s health and wellbeing.
  • Create employee communications that encourage participation in wellness activities and health screenings.
  • Coordinate annual flu shots and biometric screenings.
  • Promote health related monthly national observances.
  • Support onboarding of new hires to the company and assist new employees with understanding AATC policies and procedures as they relate to AATC’s Handbook.
  • Manage the procurement and distribution of employee uniforms, including safety wear.
  • Plan and coordinate logistics for special events (e.g., conference rooms, catering, and participant invitations).
  • Verify and maintain records of certificates of insurance.
  • Complete and submit Monthly Expense Report.
  • Assist the Corporate Trainer by preparing training materials and coordinating onboarding activities.
  • Assist Talent Acquisition Specialist in sourcing candidates.
  • Support administrative functions related to day-to-day office needs.
  • Prioritize conflicting needs, handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow-through on projects to successful completion, with deadline commitments.
  • Serve as a backup to other departments, as needed.
  • Other projects, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources/psychology or similar experience in lieu of education.
  • Minimum two years of recent Human Resources administrative experience.
  • Proficient in MSWord, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Must be able to pass requirements for approval for an ATL badge with customs seal. This includes a 10-year background search by fingerprint analysis.
