Job summary

State of Louisiana in Baton Rouge is seeking a Human Resources Analyst to serve as the first contact for Continuous Performance Management, policy administration, and SCS compliance inquiries while providing essential office support to keep operations running smoothly. The role requires HR experience and relevant degrees as described, with substitutions allowed per state rules.

Appointment is Probational or Promotional, with a stated SER pay rate of $24.31 hourly and a typical Monday–Friday

Qualifications

• Five years of human resources experience; OR six years of full-time experience in any field plus two years of human resources experience; OR a bachelor's degree plus two years of human resources experience; OR an advanced degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, industrial and organizational psychology, organizational behavior, or a Juris Doctorate plus one year of human resources experience.
• EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.
• Designation as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and staff with kindness and professionalism
• Manage the agency's CPM process from start to finish, tracking movement and assisting as required
• Answer incoming calls and provide general information about office services
• Coordinate and update job descriptions
• Policy administration
• Communicate daily with other analysts, specialists, office and agency leaders
