Hope Rising Pregnancy Center is a Christ-centered, pro-life nonprofit organization serving women and families facing unplanned pregnancies. We provide compassionate care, resources, and practical support rooted in biblical truth. We are seeking a mission-minded Human Resources Administrative Coordinator to support our growing team across our four Dayton area locations.

Job Summary

The Human Resources Administrative Coordinator is responsible for supporting the human resource needs of Hope Rising. This role ensures smooth internal processes, assists with staff and volunteer support, manages documentation and compliance, and fosters a mission-aligned workplace culture rooted in Christ.

Responsibilities

HR Administration & Compliance

  • Maintain confidential personnel files (paper and digital)
  • Track completion of background checks, training certifications, and documentation
  • Ensure HR procedures comply with internal policies and applicable laws
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Support time-off tracking and employee status changes


Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Post job and opportunities on approved platforms
  • Coordinate applicant communications and schedule interviews
  • Collect and organize required onboarding materials
  • Prepare and conduct new orientation
  • Conduct reference checks and initiate background screenings
  • Prepare offer letters and new hire paperwork
  • Administer payroll documentation, insurance enrollments, and I-9 verification


Employee Relations

  • Serve as a point of contact for general HR questions
  • Help coordinate staff events
  • Organize employee evaluations and track professional development
  • Update organizational charts, directories, and contact lists
  • Assist with communications related to HR announcements or updates
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and provide monthly HR reports


Administrative Support

  • Support center leadership with scheduling, file organization, and reporting
  • Support data entry and statistics tracking for internal reports


Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or a related field or equivalent work experience desired
    • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    • Excellent written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between centers
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in HR or office administration
    • Familiarity with HR laws, hiring practices, and benefit administration
    • Prior work in nonprofit, ministry, or faith-based organizations
  • Spiritual Commitment:
    • A committed Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
    • Strong alignment with the pro-life mission and values of Hope Rising
    • Willingness to uphold the organization’s Statement of Faith and Principles
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Frequent use of computer, email, and phone
  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Frequent travel between local centers (mileage reimbursement provided)
  • Must maintain confidentiality and work independently
