Job summary

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a Human Resources Administrator to provide essential support to the HR department. This in-office role focuses on maintaining employee data, coordinating HR processes, and delivering high-quality service to salaried staff.

The position reports to the Talent Development Manager and collaborates across HR teams. Salary range is $50,000 - $65,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365, and have a general understanding of working within a computer network.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and compliance standards, such as the FMLA (Family Medical Leave Act) preferred.
  • Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Provide general support to all functions of HR, including benefits, outreach, recruiting, and talent development.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records within the HRIS.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollment data entry and basic plan questions.
  • Help resolve routine benefits issues and elevate as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating candidate communication.
  • Review HR invoices and prepare the invoice for processing.
  • Assist Outreach Coordinator with coordination of events and scheduling interviews.
  • Support management of HR email inboxes.
  • Maintain the team calendar and assist with team scheduling and team travel logistics.
  • Schedule meetings and assist with HR events when needed.
  • Complete team expense reports with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare materials for training and outreach events.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Job description

The Human Resources Administrator provides essential support to the Human Resources department by maintaining accurate employee data, coordinating HR processes, and delivering high-quality service to employees. The HR Administrator will work within the HR department and will report to the Talent Development Manager. They will work closely with other HR department team members to aid and facilitate a variety of HR processes and duties for all salaried employees with the company. This position will be fully in-office.

Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000depending on experience.

Professional Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Must be able to climb stairs: 5% of day.

  • Sight: visual acuity in near, mid, and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination.

  • Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have an elevated level of competency to read/write/speak English, interpret construction related documentation and communicate with coworkers.
