Job summary

The U.S. Army seeks qualified individuals for the Army Human Resource Specialist (MOS 42A). This role supports personnel and administrative functions across the Army, ensuring readiness, health, and welfare of soldiers.

Candidates must meet enlistment requirements, complete Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training, and be eligible for security clearance. Opportunities for advanced training and benefits are available.

Enlistment Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien.

• High school graduate or equivalent.

Overview:

Army Human Resource Specialists perform personnel and administrative functions supporting all military members regardless of rank or classification. They ensure the readiness, health, and welfare of all soldiers.

Qualifications and Training:

• Minimum ASVAB scores: 100 General Technical (GT), 90 Clerical (CL).


• Must qualify for Secret security clearance due to sensitive information.


• 10 weeks Basic Combat Training (BCT).


• 9 weeks Advanced Individual Training combining hands-on and classroom instruction.
