Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and leadership.
• Partner with leadership on staffing and organizational needs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, programs, and best practices.
• Coordinate payroll administration, benefits, compensation, HRIS, and HR reporting.
• Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, investigations, and separations.
• Manage recruiting and onboarding activities.
• Coordinate training, performance evaluations, and recognition programs.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws.
• Support safety incidents and HR follow-up.
• Monitor HR metrics and report to leadership.
• Evaluate HR processes and suggest improvements.
• Support company-wide HR initiatives and projects.

HR Manager Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

• Experience working in a small to mid-sized organization preferred.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Well-rounded experience with employee relations, payroll, benefits administration, recruiting, compensation, and HR compliance.
• Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and processes.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems; Paychex experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while partnering closely with leadership and employees.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

HR Manager Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and leadership.
• Partner with leadership and Operations on staffing, workforce planning, employee development, retention, and organizational needs.
• Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, programs, and best practices.
• Coordinate payroll administration, benefits, compensation, employee changes, HRIS administration, and HR reporting.
• Provide guidance and support regarding employee relations, performance management, corrective action, workplace investigations, and employee separations.
• Manage recruiting and hiring activities, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, and onboarding.
• Coordinate employee training, development, performance evaluations, and recognition programs.
• Maintain employee records and ensure HR documentation is accurate and up to date.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws and HR regulations.
• Partner with Operations regarding workplace injuries, safety incidents, and appropriate HR follow-up.
• Monitor HR metrics and provide reporting and recommendations to leadership.
• Evaluate HR processes and systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support company-wide initiatives and special HR projects as needed.
• Maintain a positive, professional, and employee-focused workplace environment.
• Perform other HR-related duties as needed.
