Responsibilities
- Provide operations management and supervisory staff with support and guidance on employee relations concerns through investigation and assisting with mediation efforts to create a positive work environment
- Serve as the employee relations contact for day-to-day conflict resolution
- Assist as an intermediary between Regional HR Director and operations team
- Ensure Federal and State Wage and Hour Compliance
- Function as the hands-on HR Manager
- Assist in resolution of employee issues
- Ensure operations are in compliance with OSHA standards
- Provide assistance with start-ups and facilitate New Hire Orientation
- Ensure Enterprise system has accurate employee data
- Ensure compliance of training standards are met
- Ensure compliance goals and standards are met
- Federal and State Wage and Hour audits: provide requested information
- Recruit and post job openings for the center
- Conduct routine salary surveys for operations based on local wage rates
- Ensure HR training for supervisors is conducted
- Assist supervisors with corrective action and performance improvement plan reviews
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in business management, human resources, psychology or related field; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral; professional and positive communication with employees and all levels of management
- Required knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulatory compliance
- Fundamental understanding of computer processing including word processing and spreadsheet applications; at least five years related experience
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) preferred
