Job summary

May Center in Randolph, MA is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to manage HR operations for 400+ employees across Children Services Residential Programs and Educational Centers in Randolph and surrounding areas. Some travel to other Massachusetts locations may be required.

The role will focus on onboarding, employee relations, performance coaching, engagement initiatives, and exit processes, ensuring compliance with labor laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • SHRM or PHR Certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of human resources experience.
  • Good working knowledge of labor and employment laws and practices.
  • Workplace investigation experience required.

  • Onboarding coordination
  • Transactional- position & comp changes, file management, review of offers & hire transactions
  • Leave of absence & workplace injury coordination
  • Employee relations- investigating incidents/concerns/complaints, conflict management and mediation
  • Coaching & counseling Managers on employee incidents, performance management & progressive discipline
  • Employee engagement- Administer New Hire Check-in Program, site visits, employee forums
