The Human Resource Generalist opportunity is available at Hulsbosch Dairy Farm near Greensburg, Indiana. This role is suited for a dedicated, creative HR professional eager to establish HR principles in a rapidly expanding dairy environment. The ideal candidate will oversee all daily HR functions, including employee engagement, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and retention.

Primary Responsibilities

Reporting to the owner/manager, you will coordinate recruiting, manage personnel functions such as benefits and records, and advise management and employees on policies and procedures. You will develop best practices related to coaching, performance reviews, and training.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Staffing & Recruiting: Coordinate applications, interviews, and hiring processes; attend career fairs; develop relationships with educational and recruiting organizations.
2. Benefit Packages: Manage and communicate company benefits; analyze industry trends; maintain documentation; administer employee benefits and insurance programs.
3. Resource Provision: Facilitate new employee orientation; counsel employees; conduct exit interviews; assist with staffing planning.
4. Process Management: Oversee performance appraisals; develop training programs; ensure EEO compliance; coordinate background checks and drug testing.
5. Administrative Functions: Maintain confidential files and records; ensure policy compliance; respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims.

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 3 years of HR Generalist experience
• SHRM-CP preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
