Title: Human Resource Generalist

Location: Fairfax, VA (Hybrid)

Employment: Full Time

Min. Education Requirement: High School

Years of Experience: 3+ years of Human Resource Generalist experience, preferably with a Government Contracting firm

About the Opportunity

Inalab has an immediate full-time opening for HR Generalist at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA. This position will report to Director, Human Resource (temporarily to the St Director, Contracts). Responsibilities will include general HR duties. The ideal candidate will have utmost attention to detail and accuracy, knowledge of HR management systems, strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft applications. Prefer proficiencies with ADP and Unanet or similar HRIS and Time Management Systems.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist with and monitor payroll distribution.
  • Support and track onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Conduct orientation for all corporate office and field/on-site staff.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential matters such as employee relations, protected health information, organizational changes, etc. with the utmost caution and care to protect the security of information and data.
  • Support HR-related communication, drafting emails and communications.
  • Maintain corporate training calendar and assist management with facilitation of Training process.
  • Support Performance Review and Management process as well as length of service recognition/reward program for the company to include reporting and promoting participation and engagement.
  • Track vacation requests and management approvals in accordance with company policies.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to either the designated HR partner or corporate leadership.
  • Perform day-to-day benefits administration to include processing qualifying events and status changes.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting and recruitment activities as needed.
  • Provide impromptu assistance to the Management Team on administrative tasks ranging from meetings and event planning to daily office operations.
  • Come up with ideas to motivate employees.
  • Write reports on HR department activities.
  • Research and provided recommendations on new HT trends.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Human Resource experience.
  • Knowledge of ADP, Greenhouse, and Unanet systems.
  • Experience supporting a Government Contracting business.
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications and office equipment.
  • Soft skills such as compassion, confidentiality, and creativity.
  • Critical thinking and decision making.
