Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking an HR Generalist as part of our HR Experience (HRX) program. The role focuses on building foundational HR capabilities across multiple functions and locations in NW Georgia, including Dalton and Cartersville.

You will learn total rewards, compliance, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning and development, LOA, and more while collaborating with manufacturing facilities and operations teams. The program emphasizes leadership development and growth mindset.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in HR management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Learn the fundamentals of the HR functions at Shaw, covering topics including total rewards, HR compliance and employee relations, talent acquisition, learning and development, LOA, and more.
• Conduct investigations
• Assist with associate experience projects at facilities.
• Address associate concerns and determine best next steps.
• Assist with maintaining staffing levels
• Provide support to the assigned business areas of manufacturing facilities and other areas of operations as needed
• Assist with succession planning and talent development.
• Other tasks and projects as assigned

Primary Responsibilities:

Position Requirements:

• BA/BS Degree in HR management or related field
• General Business & Employment Law Acumen
• Ability to operate successfully within a team
• Ability to manage and resolve conflict
• Ability to coach peers or others
• Ability to influence/communicate across the entire spectrum of the workforce
• Ability to travel between facilities in the NW Ga area, including Dalton and Cartersville.

Preferred:

• 1-2 years of HR experience preferred
• Bilingual
