Job summary

Michigan Solar Solutions is seeking a part-time HR Assistant to serve as a central resource for employee engagement and HR initiatives. The role focuses on keeping records organized, supporting onboarding, tracking training, and assisting with safety communications and SOP development.

The candidate should be proactive, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities with discretion while collaborating with employees across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, organize, and update employee records and confidential HR documentation.
• Assist with new-hire onboarding and related paperwork.
• Track training completion and manage HR system records.
• Monitor 90-day performance evaluations and coordinate reviews.
• Maintain HR calendars and employee anniversaries.
• Complete monthly audits of employee hours.
• Support safety communications and company newsletter.
• Schedule training sessions and respond to employee inquiries.
• Create and update SOPs, surveys, and HR materials.
• Support HR projects and other duties as assigned by the HR manager.
