Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Human Performance Training and Development Specialist to advance DoD physical fitness programs and Total Force Fitness strategies. You will assess readiness standards, refine requirements, and translate operational needs into actionable training and policy recommendations.

You will produce trend analyses and executive briefs, support doctrine updates, and coordinate with stakeholders to align resiliency programs for the Marine Corps and broader national security

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with DoD organizations.
  • Experience with the Marine Corps structure, Total Force Fitness, physical fitness standards, and training policy.
  • Experience conducting training needs assessments, gap analyses, job or task analyses, organizational assessments, or performance analyses.
  • Ability to translate operational requirements, scientific evidence, stakeholder input, and program findings into policy recommendations, training interventions, program improvements, implementation strategies, and courses of action.
  • Secret clearance.

Human Performance Training and Development Specialist

The Opportunity: As a defense mission professional, you ask questions others don’t. You understand the nuances of complex situations. You use your skills to think bigger and push further, solving complex problems. We’re looking for an expert like you to create solutions for missions that keep our nation safe. Join us in advancing, sustaining, and optimizing DoD physical fitness programs and the Total Force Fitness strategy, encompassing physical, mental, spiritual, and social domains. You will leverage technical, analytical, and administrative expertise to assess readiness standards, validate and refine requirements, produce insightful trend analyses and executive materials, and enable data-driven oversight. Additionally, you will support policy and doctrine development, update manuals, facilitate stakeholder communications, and align resiliency programs for maximum effectiveness. Additionally, you’ll guide the work we do for the Marine Corps and the solutions we deliver for Human Performance Optimization, military readiness, and national security as you help solve complex design, integration, and analytical problems. You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with DoD organizations
  • Experience with the Marine Corps’ organizational structure and culture, Total Force Fitness, physical fitness standards, and training and readiness policy
  • Experience conducting training needs assessments, gap analyses, job or task analyses, organizational assessments, or performance analyses
  • Ability to translate operational requirements, scientific evidence, stakeholder input, and program findings into policy recommendations, training interventions, program improvements, implementation strategies, and courses of action
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with DoD organizations
  • Experience using Power BI or similar platforms to interpret program metrics, monitor implementation, and communicate performance information
  • Experience with data collection systems, survey platforms, automated workflows, and dashboard requirements
  • Experience assisting with developing, reviewing, or revising policy, doctrine, manuals, guidance, training standards, or program documentation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Training and Development, Instructional Systems Design, I/O Psychology, Human Factors, Organizational Development, Public Health, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Human Performance, or a related field
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD), PROSCI Change Management, Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Certified Performance and Sport Scientist (CPSS), or similar Analytics, Research, Program Evaluation, or Human Performance Certification
  • Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
