Job summary

deciBel Research, Inc. in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Human Factors Engineer to support the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Program. You will contribute to the design and development of the GMD Fire Control UI/UX within the GWS program.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's in psychology, human factors, UI/UX, or related field, with DoD experience and the ability to travel up to 10% as needed. Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in psychology, human factors, UI/UX, human computer interaction, or related field.
2 years of related experience or Master's with 0 years, within 10 years total.
Fundamental understanding of HFE principles for software-centric systems.
Experience developing qualitative and quantitative user assessments methods.
Experience collecting and analyzing end-user feedback to drive a product backlog.
Ability to develop journey maps, user flows, task analysis, or equivalents.
Experience with UI design, e.g. wireframes and mockups.
Strong verbal/written communications across technical teams.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.
DoD experience with user-centered UI/UX for complex systems.
