Job summary

deciBel Research in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Human Factors Engineer to join the Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program, supporting the GMD Weapon System. The role focuses on design and development of the GMD Fire Control product within GWS, requiring collaboration across multiple engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in psychology, human factors, User Interface (UI) / User Experience (UX) design, human computer interaction, or other related field.
• 2 years of related experience or Master's degree with 0 years of related experience, not to exceed 10 years.
• Fundamental understanding of HFE principles as applied to software-centric system development.
• Experience developing and administering qualitative and quantitative user assessments methods.
• Demonstrated experience collecting and analyzing end-user feedback/data to drive a product backlog.
• Demonstrated experience developing journey maps, user flows, task analysis, or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience with UI design, e.g. wireframes and mockups based on operator task-flows.
• Strong verbal/written communications skills to work effectively in and across multiple technical teams.
• Self-motivated and ability to manage multiple priorities with limited direction.
