Job description

Description

K2United is an organization housing two distinct national, customer-facing brands connected by a shared purpose: setting the standard for extraordinary workplaces. Through K2Share and CareerSafe, we provide advisory services in cyber risk management and online education for workforce readiness.

Job Type

Full-time

About You

You may not have called this work HX before. You may have called it good leadership, thoughtful operations, or simply taking care of people. If you have created clarity, removed friction, built processes around the people who use them, and made it easier for employees to succeed, you have already been practicing HX.

You understand that systems and processes are not the end goal. Their purpose is to create a consistent experience in which employees feel supported, understand what is expected, and can do their best work. You turn complex systems into reliable, repeatable processes without losing sight of the people those systems serve.

You thrive where people, process, and business operations intersect. You enjoy bringing clarity to complexity, connecting work across teams, and improving systems until they are both dependable and easy to use. You anticipate problems, remove friction, and create the structure people need to succeed. You are energized by building an employee experience that is thoughtful, consistent, and supported by strong operational practices.

You combine practical Human Resources experience with strong business judgment. You know how to lead people, establish clear expectations, coach performance, and ensure commitments are completed. You are comfortable operating as both a functional leader and an enterprise partner, with an understanding of how HX decisions affect Finance, Security, IT, Data, Quality Assurance, and the broader organization.

Your Impact
  • Lead the HX Operations team through clear priorities, coaching, feedback, and accountability.
  • Represent HX on the Business Operations team and contribute to shared planning, priorities, risk management, and operational decisions.
  • Partner with Finance, Security, IT, Data, and Quality Assurance leaders to coordinate work, clarify dependencies, and ensure AI-enabled workflows meet company standards for accuracy, privacy, security, and reliability.
  • Oversee recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and engagement to deliver a consistent and people-centered employee experience.
  • Simplify processes, strengthen systems, and remove friction that slows work or affects service.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, current policies, reliable knowledge resources, and audit-ready compliance practices.
  • Administer payroll, compensation, and benefits with an emphasis on accuracy, fairness, compliance, and employee understanding.
  • Monitor team capacity, operational risks, and service performance to address issues before they affect employees or business results.
  • Use data, feedback, scorecard measures, automation, and AI tools to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency, service quality, knowledge access, and scalability across HX Operations.
Requirements
  • Have experience leading HR, people operations, or employee experience functions.
  • Understand recruiting, onboarding, employee support, engagement, HRIS administration, payroll, benefits, compensation, records management, and employment compliance.
  • Design processes from the employee’s perspective without compromising accuracy, compliance, efficiency, or scalability.
  • Contribute effectively to cross-functional planning, prioritization, and problem-solving.
  • Use data, dashboards, reporting, and AI tools to identify issues, improve workflows, and support decisions while protecting confidential information.
  • Communicate policies, compensation, benefits, and operational decisions clearly and accurately.
  • Build productive relationships with employees, leaders, vendors, carriers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Identify operational risks and dependencies early, then act before they affect employees or business results.
  • Balance priorities and resources to maintain dependable service and sustainable workloads.
What Success Looks Like
  • Business Operations priorities are aligned, dependencies are visible, and cross-functional commitments are completed.
  • Business decisions appropriately consider people, capacity, compliance, security, data, financial, and quality implications.
  • Employees and HX team members understand their priorities, responsibilities, and expectations.
  • Coaching and feedback improve team performance, confidence, and accountability.
  • Recruiting, onboarding, employee support, and engagement consistently meet established service standards.
  • Handoffs between HX and other business functions are clear, timely, and dependable.
  • HX projects and recurring workflows are completed on time and within scope.
  • Employee support requests are resolved accurately and promptly.
  • HR data and employee files are complete, accurate, secure, and verifiable.
  • Policies and procedures are current, clearly written, and easy to find.
  • Compliance reports and required filings are completed accurately and on time.
  • Payroll, benefits enrollments, and pay adjustments are processed correctly and on schedule.
  • Approved AI tools improve appropriate HX workflows, and their outputs are reviewed for accuracy and handled according to company security, privacy, and data-management standards.
  • Employees and leaders trust the fairness, accuracy, and reliability of HX services.
  • HX systems and processes continue to improve as the organization grows.
