Job summary

engineeringjobs.net, Inc. seeks a Design engineer to join our hull design team, working with client and internal hull engineers on detail design and coordination.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of shipbuilding or naval architecture experience, proficiency with 3D ship design software (Ship Constructor or similar), and strong communication skills. Willingness to relocate domestically or internationally on short notice is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of shipbuilding/naval architecture experience.
• Experience with 3D ship design software (e.g., Ship Constructor).
• Experience on detail or basic design in shipbuilding & offshore.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willingness to continuously develop technical knowledge.
• Willing to commit to at least 1 year of service.

Responsibilities

• Hull structural modeling for detail design.
• Assist team members on Hull Design tasks.
• Complete detail design using relevant software.
• Coordinate work, review drawings, and coach others.
• Ensure high quality of completed work.
• Contribute to hull, foundations and related details.
• Coordinate engineering activities within the project team.
• Willing to relocate to client site domestically or internationally on short notice.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
