Job summary

Buoyancy Consultants & Engineering seeks a Design Engineer to work closely with clients and the hull design team to execute design projects. You will perform hull structural modeling for detail design and assist team members across tasks, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

You will coordinate drawings, provide coaching, and contribute to hull, foundations and related vessel details while being ready to relocate to client sites domestically or internationally on short notice.

Qualifications

Graduate in shipbuilding / mechanical or naval architecture
Experience with 3D ship design software such as Ship Constructor
Worked on detail or basic design projects in shipbuilding & offshore
Excellent communication skills and customer focus
High attention to detail and pursuit of perfection
Commitment to developing technical knowledge and skills
Willing to serve minimum 1 year with the company

Responsibilities

Hull structural modeling for detail design of various projects
Assist team members for Hull Design tasks
Complete detail design using software based on basic design
Coordinate drawings, coach and support own tasks
Ensure right quality of completed work
Contribute to hull, foundations and related vessel details
Coordinate all engineering activities within a project
Willing to relocate on client site domestically or internationally on short notice
Other tasks as assigned by the organization
